Top 5 Virginia Travel Spots!
(Scroll down to see map of ALL Virginia Travel Spots I’ve to!!)
1) White Oak Lavender farm
Get the lavender wine flight and sit in the garden surrounded by lavender and mountains in the distance! They also have classes you can find on their website for fun crafts such as lavender wreath making!
2) Shenandoah National Park
Phenomenal views!! Make sure you have a lot of gas because there was for sure a point in time where we had no service, wanted to leave the NP, had no map and could not find our way out and had to just go straight until we found an exit
3) Fort Story / First Landing
Ever since I was a kid I looked up to the military and always wanted join. To this day I still have an infatuation which is why this army base was such a pleasure for me to visit. It has two lighthouses you can see and areas to explore with lots of history to learn.
4) Luray Caverns
General Admission is $34. This is a great option because you don’t have to wait for a tour and can go on a self-guided tour throughout the caverns. Be sure to stay for the organ to play inside the caverns!
5) Colonial Williamsburg
Although it is possible to go to Williamsburg without a ticket, I definitely recommend getting tickets! That way you will be able to enter the buildings and get a wonderful experience of learning history from the reenactors! I especially loved the apothecary..
Map of ALL my Virginia Travel Spots :
Above is an interactive map of my favorite places to go as a solo traveler in Virginia. It is separated by two categories: bars & restaurants, and places of interest! My goal is for travelers to be able to easily find recommended places if in a new area and don’t know where to go. If you click on a location it will show you the address, pictures I have taken there, and possible notes that may be helpful for you!
